What is TxACOM?

Since its inception in 1995 as the Texas chapter of a national association and subsequent incorporation as a 501(c)3 non-profit Texas corporation in 2004, our mission has always been to be the premier association servicing Texas events, meetings and convention professionals. As a Texas only association, we concentrate on those unique educational, communications and networking opportunities important to our members. TxACOM® has always encouraged personal and professional growth and continuing education for its members through specialized programs including quarterly educational meetings, internships, scholarships, mentoring programs, familiarization tours, resource centers and networking opportunities. TxACOM is committed to promoting the highest ethical standards in the hospitality industry. We are open to members from all over the State of Texas and strongly encourage statewide participation in the association.

Who's In TxACOM

TxACOM is an association consisting of a diverse membership including corporate, non-profit, government and independent meeting and special event planners; Convention & Visitors Bureaus; Attractions & Special Facilities; Destination Management Companies; Resorts & Conference Centers; Convention Centers; Entertainment, Talent, and Speakers; Audio/Visual Services; Catering and Restaurants; Decorators & Rentals; Exhibit Companies; Hotels and Resorts; Production Companies; Special Event and Party Planners; Specialty Advertisers; Transportation Venues and many other professionals in the Hospitality industry.

We consider ourselves the perfect companion association for members in various specialized areas who belong to national organizations but still need to interface with a broader group of industry professionals directly involved with and doing business in Texas.

TxACOM fully supports the APEX program developed by the Convention Industry Council. APEX is working to unite the entire meeting, convention and exhibition industry in the development and implementation of voluntary standards, which will be called best accepted practices.
